Prince Albert Visit

Prince Albert’s visit to Liverpool in 1846

During his visit to Liverpool in July 1846, Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria, officially opened the Albert Dock and a new sailors’ home. Some scenes from his visit are shown below.

Believed to be a model of ‘HMS Fairy’ the yacht used by Price Albert on the Mersey during his visit.
