dmscollectables take a keen interest the in local history of Turton, Bolton, and Lancashire in general. TLHS welcomes new members to our meetings which are held at Harwood Methodist Church in Bolton. Talks start at 7.30pm on the last Thursday of each month, except for the walks in May, June and July. The locations for these are specified in the event notifications on the TLHS website ( http://www.turtonhistory.com/2022/12/2023-programme-of-events.html). There is a £2 entry fee for non-members. All TLHS publications (38 completed by 2022) are available on Amazon and at the Last Drop Hotel Gallery shop in Bolton.
Hello. My name is Vivien Grainger. I grew up on Turton Road, The Harriers, Tottington.
I would very much like to join Turton Historical Society on the last Thursday in tte month at I believe Harwood Methodist Church. at 7.30 pm.
Please could you send more details. I have your leaflet which bears a coat of arms. Thank you
Vivien,
I’ve had (and still having) one or two problems with my own website hence my rather tardy response. The best way of joining is simply to turn up at the next meeting (March 28th). You can join on entry to the venue. Failing that, one of the committee members will be at the Barlow Book Fair in Edgworth on April 20th. Membership is £10 a year, or £2 for individual talks.
